Wind nor rain dampened Mark and Taralyn’s Muskoka Wedding
Mark and Taralyn braved the elements at Lumina Resort in Muskoka as close friends and family witnessed their unique Muskoka wedding.
As an artistic director for one of Ottawa’s leading ad firms, Taralyn’s eye for detail, and obsession with Pinterest, was apparent as she put her signature on many aspects of the day. Taralyn loves to laugh and as the girls crowded into a small kitchen in Lumina’s North Lodge for hair and makeup there were plenty of laughs to go around. She surrounds herself with a tight-knit crew, which includes friends from early childhood.
I’ve always appreciated Mark’s classic style. In preparing this blog post I research the definition of “Gentleman” in the Oxford Dictionary and just saw his precisely groomed mug staring back at me so that pretty much seals it. As an engineer, Mark’s tempered, logical outlook on life is well played against Taralyn’s creativity. Don’t be fooled though – he’s a romantic, taking Taralyn on a trip to Italy only two weeks into their courtship. He’s also adventurous as he and his gang of thieves took a chilly dip in the lake prior to getting dressed.
I was honoured to document their day, even though it broke my two-year string of sunny weddings, and hope my images convey an honest sense of who they are. Stay tuned for a full portfolio of their day coming in a few weeks.
Until then, enjoy some highlights from their wedding while I plot my revenge on Old Man Rain.
